THE ROYALTY OF THE VOICE
“It is from the horse’s mouth”. A universal phrase that underscores the fact. Of all the organs of human structure the voice renders the most efficient and versatile service. It announces the arrival of the baby and silent over its departure at old age.
The Queen of England, Elizabeth with her sister, accompanied their father, King George the V, on a royal visit to South Africa. She made a radio broadcast from the boat, on her 21st birthday, to the British colonies of her promissory royal service to the people on her ascending the throne. She was a princess and a potential queen. That was a vocal commitment.
In 1962, America discovered U S S R was constructing a nuclear missile site in CUBA. JFK instructed a blockade of the site by the American warships and khrushchev, the Russian Premier, ordered a dismantling of the site. It was a war of the ‘ Almighty’ words!
Ronald Reagan was known as the great communicator. At his meeting with Gorbachev of Russia at the Berlin Wall, during the Cold War he suggested to him (Gorbachev) “tear down this wall”, (the power of words) and he did, allowing the Germans to have free movement to and fro.
Adolf Hitler was reputed to be a powerful speech maker to talk the Germans into waging a war against the rest of the world. He used his voice.
Osama Bin Ladin with the Doctrine of the Quran talked the Arabs with the use of airplanes to crash into the world trade centers. Again, voice!
Several political/religious fanatics are known to have talked and manipulated their followers into crises. Voice.
According to the Bible, the world was created by order, words of the mouth.
As we can see, the voice can create and avert war. Once the voice spews, such words qualifies to become a marble print. All offensive words demand for apologies.
Its works and abilities are myriad.
The statements of pastors now have become a verbal doctrines to the followers. To have a control over its service you have to muffle its passage. Writing is an expression o the thought just as the voice is the terminal conveyor.
What can the voice not do? Think about it.
